Short term psychotherapy Short-term therapy is a process in which I will try to help you identify a specific problem that you are looking to solve. In this case, I will help you to identify and set realistic goals and will then support you as we set out to solve problems and achieve your goals. Together, as we develop a problem solving strategy, we will identify the coping and interpersonal skills that you need to improve or develop in order to make these changes. Many clients are pleasantly surprised to discover how they are naturally already using many of the skills needed to make this change. Often, support and a guiding voice are all that are needed. Together we will assess the pros and cons of your current situation and help you to gain a better understanding of how you want to proceed. |
